Castle Community Rooms - formerly St Michael's Rooms
St Michael's Rooms is being rebuilt by Framlingham Parochial Church Council (PCC) as a new community facility with the full support of and in partnership with the Town Council.
The building will provide a valued community space for the town and will be available for hire by organisations and individuals for the benefit of local people. It will be of a similar size and in the same location as the old St Michael's Rooms but, in addition to the main hall and kitchen facilities, there will be a meeting room for up to 16 people that can be independently hired. It is being built to contemporary standards, which includes accessible facilities, a high level of thermal efficiency and solar PV panels. In response to requests by users of the old Rooms, in the main hall it will also have a sprung floor, an acoustically treated ceiling and audio-visual facilities.
