Line Painting around the Town

Line Painting around the Town

We are pleased to report that the parking bays on the Market Hill parking bays should be re-painted the week commencing 27th March. The lines around the Hill, the disabled and the motorcycle bays will also be done. The lines on the Pay and Display car park will be painted blue to highlight where the chargeable area is and signage will be displayed at the machine to explain this.

We are pleased to confirm that our next Residents' Drop- In Session will be held on Saturday 4th March, from 10am- 1pm at the Town Council Offices (on Church Street, opposite the Castle Community Rooms)

Our Next Rights of Way Walk

Our Next Rights of Way Walk

Our next walk will be on Saturday 1st April and you are welcome to join us.

We will meet at the Castle Community Rooms for a 10am start.

This will be a leisurely walk lasting for approximately 1.5 - 2 hours on footpaths in the Fram area. Accompanied children and well-behaved dogs on leads and are welcome.

Please wear footwear & clothing suitable for the weather conditions and country paths.

Fairtrade Fortnight

Fairtrade Fortnight runs from Monday 27th February until Sunday 12th March this year.

A host of events to mark the occasion have been planned including:

- A Spot the Fairtrade Mark Competition in shop and office windows in the town centre. This is open to all and forms are available to pick up from The Library. There is a prize of a FramBag full of Fairtrade goodies to the winner.

ROADWORKS- Fairfield Road and Pembroke Road

PEMBROKE ROAD JUNCTION ROADWORKS
Twelve days of roadworks are due to start on Pembroke Road from Monday 13th until Wednesday 22nd February between 7am and 4.30pm. Thankfully the first week of this coincides with half-term which should minimise disruption, but parents' school run parking is likely to be affected for the week commencing 20th February.

The first of a proposed series opportunities for residents to speak informally to Town Councillors took place on January 28th and was felt to be a resounding success.

New Venue for Full Town Council Meetings

New Venue for Full Town Council Meetings

We were very pleased to be back on home ground in the new community hall next to the Church - we are already referring to it as CCR instead of the old SMR...

It was great to have a good look at all the facilities now that the building itself is complete. You can come and see for yourself at the Open Day on Saturday 18th February between 11am - 3pm.
