Upcoming Road Works and Road Closures
Please be aware that there are a series of schedules for upcoming roadworks scheduled for Framlingham
Firstly, East Suffolk Council Parking Services will be conducting line maintenance works on Framlingham Market Hill on Monday 27th March 2023 (weather dependent).

Katch Bus to resume in a new format by CATS
A new demand responsive community bus service is set to hit the road in East Suffolk next month.
The service will be introduced from Tuesday 11 April - carrying passengers between Framlingham, Wickham Market, Campsea Ashe and Snape.
The 11-seat minibus will run from:
7.30am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday
10am - 6.30pm on Saturdays
10am - 6pm on bank holidays,

Meeting on 14 March 2023
At the latest meeting the main topics for discussion and agreement were as follows:
1. The Coronation weekend is approaching fast and the Council are looking to host two events. On the Saturday 6th of May there are plans for a large screen to be erected in St Michael's church to live screen the Coronation. What the Highways Committee has been up to
The Highways, Rights of Way and Parking Committee has been busy since the start of the year.
We have news on the Traffic Regulation Order on Fore Street, lighting 'dark spots' around the town and an exciting proposal that we are discussing with Suffolk County Council to help reduce the speed of traffic in the town centre.

New Castle Brooks Information Board
Castle Brooks now has a brand new notice board on the green. We are calling it Oak Tree Corner in recognition, and a big thank you, to local residents for saving the two large oak trees just nearby.
Thank you is also due to Framlingham Town Council and the Unitarian Trust for grant funding towards the costs of the noticeboard - some of which is made from recycled plastic.

CCTV Cameras are Now Operational
CCTV System now operating in Framlingham
The CCTV system in the town centre is now compliant and up and running. The contractor has recently mounted notification signs on the lamp posts, and the licences required to operate have been agreed.
It is important to note that the images are not on display in the Town Council office, and are only viewed at the request of the police, or for maintenance purposes.... Read More »
