COVID cases locally - July

COVID cases locally - July

From now on, daily reporting on the PHE dashboard will cease, and updates will be once a week. Surveys... Read More »

Victoria Mill Road Jubilee Celebration

Victoria Mill Road Jubilee Celebration

A great event was held on the greens at Victoria Mill Road on Friday 3rd June.
This was on the green space recently declared an "Assett of Community Value" which was instrumental in overturning the proposed development opposite. So a double celebration!

Party On The Pageant

THANK YOU! to everyone who took part, helped and supported Party on the Pageant on Sunday 5th June. It was a fabulous day and the attendance was overwhelming.

A lot of hard work by a small POP Team of five of us, along with our fantastic helpers on the day, we couldn't have done it without you.

Fly Posting in Fram

Fly Posting in Fram

Disappointing to see these horrible posters being taped up all over the town. A lot of people have worked very hard to make the town look lovely for the Jubilee and to see this type of littering and fly posting is very nasty. It would have taken less effort to pick up the litter like our lovely local volunteers do on a regular basis. Who ever this is they should be ashamed of themselves as it is a... Read More »

Framlingham Churchyard Tree Felling

Framlingham Churchyard Tree Felling

The Council has looked at the possibility of delaying the removal of the lime tree in the churchyard but a postponement would prove costly and difficult for all parties. All permissions are in place and burial services suspended for the two days. The cost of the work is, in fact, £2,550 and not the much higher figure suggested by some posts.

PROPOSED VICTORIA MILL ROAD DEVELOPMENT - REFUSED PLANNING PERMISSION

PROPOSED VICTORIA MILL ROAD DEVELOPMENT - REFUSED PLANNING PERMISSION

24th May 2022
We are very pleased to announce that East Suffolk Council (ESC) Planning Committee has today refused planning permission for the proposed development off Victoria Mill Road for up to 49 self-build homes.

There has been very strong opposition to this proposal in Framlingham, which was contrary to the Neighbourhood Plan and to East Suffolk's Local Plan. Despite this it was initially approved... Read More »

Planning Application - Update on Victoria Mill Road

Proposed Victoria Mill Road development
17th May 2022
Framlingham Town Council is very disappointed that East Suffolk Council (ESC) Planning Officers continue to support the proposed development in Victoria Mill Road, Framlingham. It has been established (and the Planning Officers now accept) that this is contrary to both the ESC Local Plan and the Framlingham Neighbourhood Plan.

The Framlingham Neighbourhood... Read More »
