Line Painting around the Town

We are pleased to report that the parking bays on the Market Hill parking bays should be re-painted the week commencing 27th March. The lines around the Hill, the disabled and the motorcycle bays will also be done. The lines on the Pay and Display car park will be painted blue to highlight where the chargeable area is and signage will be displayed at the machine to explain this.

We have also heard that East Suffolk Council has now provided the necessary written consent so we
can continue the statutory process for making a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO), to deliver a parking management scheme in the town. Hopefully this will include painting extra yellow lines on Fore Street and Double Street to prevent dangerous parking that impairs drivers' visibility and accessibility.
