Christmas on the Hill road closures and parking

Christmas On The Hill

Road Closure & Parking - Friday 2nd December - Framlingham

The road from Bridge Street up to Castle Street will be closed temporarily from 4pm to 10pm for our special Christmas late night shopping event.

There will be a contraflow along Castle Street from Fore Street, with traffic lights, to allow access for residents and parking at the Castle.

Please note the traffic lights will remain red for a very short time at 5pm to allow the lantern procession to proceed from the Castle footpath down into Market Hill.

Parking in Market Hill will be restricted from 1pm to make sure it is safe to set up the stage, and be clear for stallholders to set up from 3pm.

Short shopping stops will be possible on the left hand side under the lime trees up to 4pm, but we will be advising drivers of the closure so none get trapped unwittingly.

There will be free parking in Fore Street car park from 4pm.

Several places have been set aside for disabled vehicles at the Castle.

We hope you will understand the need for these temporary restrictions to allow our Christmas event to smoothly, without mishap.
