ICS Film Competition

ICS Film Competition

ICS film competition 2022 is being launched. This time the theme of 'Walk the Talk'. They would like entries to inspire them with a two-minute film sharing experiences of local health and care that can help us to understand how as a 'Can Do Health and Care' system we can truly 'Walk the Talk'. Prizes will be awarded for films in six categories each about how we can make sure that local people see our six core values in practice: Courageous, Collaborative, Compassionate, Creative, Community Focused and Cost Effective.

Films can be made using any means including use of a smartphone. You can film simply straight to camera or you could include a more 'produced' approach perhaps using film editing. Leading the competition is our ICS Equalities Lead, David Akinsanya who has worked in broadcasting for 25 years and presented on television for the BBC and Channel 4.

They want to hear diverse voices representing the local population and welcome entries from community organisations, individuals and families who live or work in Suffolk or North East Essex. They are particularly keen to ensure people with disabilities have equality of opportunity to enter our competition. If you might need additional support or need information in an alternative format, please contact David Akinsanya directly on 07514 622152 or by email at

Entries must be received by Wednesday 15 June 2022 and will be judged by an independent including colleagues from the BBC, people with lived experience and a wide range of community organisations who will award six prizes of £300, plus an overall wining prize of £500. Winning entries will be announced at an online film awards ceremony and also shown at ICS EXPO event in Newmarket on 1 July 2022. Further information including the competition rules are on their ICS website Help us to 'Walk the Talk' - Film Competition - Suffolk & North East Essex Integrated Care System (
