Help to Spread Some PAWS-itivity

Please see the following message from Suffolk Libraries about their upcoming preview event where all the labs will be brought together, plus a special offer on their auction tickets.

Our fundraising campaign PAWS-itivity reaches its peak very soon and we need your help to get us over the finishing line to raise the most possible funds for Suffolk Libraries work as a charity in the community.

Online Reporting Tool Successes

Online Reporting Tool Successes

Suffolk County Council has recently agreed to resolve two issues we have reported via their online reporting tool.

Today, the Give Way markings at the junction of Fairfield Road and Fore Street were extended, back to where they were before the road was resurfaced. This should make it safer and easier for motorists on Fairfield Road, especially those turning right.

SCC has also agreed to carry out works... Read More »

Station Road Pavement

Station Road Pavement

Good news! After some effort, Suffolk County Council has now agreed to skirt the pavement at Station Road, removing the soil and vegetation that has encroached it. SCC's Enforcement Team are also liaising with private residents along sections of this path where the hedges are too overgrown.

We hope the path will soon be restored back to its full width which will make it easier and safer for pedestrians... Read More »

Fly-tipping

Fly-tipping

We were sad to hear of recent episodes of fly-tipping within the town.

We have two clothes banks- one at the Fire Station and one at Fore Street Car Park, plus charity shops take good quality used clothes for re-sale and will often take poorer quality ones for rags.

Fly-tipping is a criminal offence and can be punished with a fine of up £50,000 and a prison sentence of up to 5 years. Please let... Read More »

Santa....Shhhhhh

Santa....Shhhhhh

December is a very busy time for Father Christmas and sadly we fear he is likely to be tied up with getting presents ready on the 8th. If you know of a suitable stand-in for him, who would be happy to help out at our Christmas on the Hill event, please let us know.

There won't be a traditional grotto but instead we are running a photo booth where people can dress up and have fun photos taken with the... Read More »

Drinking Water

Drinking Water

Thank you to East Suffolk Council for installing a drinking water tap at Crown and Anchor Lane.

We hope it will be useful for refilling water bottles and also for thirsty four-legged friends on walks around the town.
