Snow has just reached Framlingham but we are told it will not settle and some welcome sunshine over the weekend will melt it. Last Saturday Framlingham Rotary [Provisional] were collecting in the town for the Haiti earthquake victims, and report that £1500 was collected in 6 hours. This is enough for 3 shelter boxes which will provide shelter and provisions for 12 adults & 18 children. For the same cause there is a Coffee Morning in the United Free Church Hall tomorrow [Saturday 3oth], and next Saturday [Feb 6th] there will be a Coffee Morning/Sale in the Crown Hotel. There is a collection bucket in the Post Office & thus far £391 has been sent - there may well be other fund raising going on in the town, but this is what has reached our ears so far.
