RAISING MONEY FOR SUFFOLK’S CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE
Added on Thursday 15th September 2017

Stephen is the County Councillor for the Framlingham Division and lives in the village of Chediston with his wife Wendy and their family. Stephen has been elected as the new Chairman of Suffolk County Council and is using his year in office to raise money specifically for Suffolk’s children and young people by supporting ‘Inspire Suffolk’ who help to reintegrate young people into society and help them overcome personal challenges, particularly those who experience severe disadvantage and instability and who need focus and direction. ‘We owe it to all are children and young people to give them the best possible start in life and I believe we can help to do this by supporting Inspire Suffolk’.

The Chairman, as part of their position, can promote and raise money for a particular charity of their choice during their year in office. ‘This year I want to raise money for Suffolk’s Children and Young People, particularly those children who live and experience very challenging lives and need help, focus and direction to help them believe in themselves and make a success of their lives, quite often through no fault of their own’. Suffolk provides some of the best children’s services in the UK, and has children at the centre of everything it does’.

Stephen has also set up the very first Chairman’s ‘twitter’ account to promote the appeal and keep you up to date with the Chairman’s role and events, go to @ChairSCC at twitter.com

If you feel you can help me then please get in touch, you can contact me at: chairman@suffolk.gov.uk or Stephen.burroughes@suffolk.gov.uk

By working together, we can make a real difference, so please letget in touch.

Framlingham Town Councillors Gary Kitching and Spadge Hopkins (pictured) will be supporting the Charity with a sponsored 46 mile in a day walk between Felixstowe Ferry and Lowestoft Pier on 23rd September. Sponsorship forms available in the Town Council Office.
