The Conservative Club
is now just called The Conservative Club (no
political
allegiance) or more frequently The Con Club. Three snooker tables
(charmingly you have to change your coins at the bar for old ones to work
the meters), regular events and visitors welcome for surprisingly
cheap drinks and meals. Your stewards
are David and Anne Lister. (Closed Monday
lunchtime and Sunday evening.)

The
Kettleburgh Chequers is an
historic pub with an enormous garden which has the River Deben flowing past
at the bottom. A good selection of real ales, excellent cooking is
always available and slightly detached from the pub are three stylish and
purpose built letting rooms.
